Overview

Another cozy place to relax in Hanoi, "HOTEL YAH HANOI

HOTEL YAH HANOI is a Japanese-style business hotel located near Linh Lang Street in Hanoi.
Based on the concept of healing, the top floor features a large public bath equipped with a sauna and jacuzzi, offering views of the nightscape of the high-rise building cluster.

We provide an environment where Japanese guests can stay with peace of mind, featuring 24-hour Japanese-language support with a resident concierge.
Breakfast is offered in a multinational half-buffet style with a selection ranging from Japanese to Vietnamese cuisine, and the property features a location and facilities suited for both business and leisure travelers.

Close to the Linh Lang area, known as the Japantown, with Japanese supermarkets and restaurants also within walking distance.
This hotel combines functionality and convenience, making it well-suited for extended stays.

Task

the reason why it is chosen by Japanese guests,
Visualize on the web.

This hotel aimed to further strengthen the attraction of Japanese guests.
In particular, it was necessary to communicate the appeal of the hotel more clearly, especially to tourists from Japan and Japanese business people staying in Vietnam.

Despite having extensive facilities and services, the website at the time could not be said to convey its appeal sufficiently.
Furthermore, sightseeing information within Hanoi and introductions to the Linh Lang (Japanese Quarter) area were also limited, leaving room to more concretely convey the image of what kind of time guests could spend by staying here.
Furthermore, it was necessary to improve the user flow to make it clearer for repeat customers to make reservations directly from our website.

Organizing these challenges and reconstructing the "reasons why we are chosen by Japanese people" on the web became the starting point for this project.

Website

In this renewal, we have revised the overall structure and content presentation of the website to better convey the hotel's appeal to our guests. We have organized the information guests want to know, focusing on a delivery method that allows them to "feel the experience" rather than merely posting information.

We designed the content and layout to highlight the appeal of the hotel's facilities and services, restructuring the site to give visitors a clear image of their stay before they even arrive.

Furthermore, we organized points ensuring Japanese guests can stay with peace of mind and information about the surrounding area, and designed content that conveys how to spend time at the hotel and the charm of the city.

In addition, we have streamlined the booking process on the official website, creating a natural flow that encourages reservations directly through our own site rather than through OTAs.

Complimentary stay voucher

To stimulate weekend demand and increase brand awareness, we ran a limited-time free accommodation voucher campaign for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

We are designing the project with a primary focus on Japanese guests, emphasizing the concept of "experience first."
The intention was to provide an experience with a high level of stay satisfaction by limiting it to the weekend, a time of high demand, and to lead to subsequent repeat visits and word-of-mouth recommendations.

This initiative aims to enhance brand awareness by communicating the hotel's key strengths—such as its appealing large public bath and sauna, 24-hour Japanese-language support, and multinational half-buffet—as experiential value.

Hotel area map

We have created a map of the surrounding hotel area so that you can better visualize how you will spend your stay.

The design uses a handwritten-style touch to create a sense of approachability, and features a pop-style female character to evoke feelings of security and fun.
We have clearly listed information on stores that are easy for Japanese guests to use, such as Japanese supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, and massage parlors.

In addition, by expressing the characteristics of the streets and the atmosphere of the area using speech bubbles, the layout conveys not just location information, but also the "vibe of a town that makes you want to walk around."

This production was designed to convey the appeal of not only staying at the hotel, but also of the time spent in the surrounding area.

Result

Sales Up 38% After the Website Redesign

Direct bookings increased by approximately 38% year-on-year, and total sales also increased by about 18%.
Furthermore, the annual average daily rate (ADR) also increased by approximately 20%.

and improving website metrics as well,
- Number of users: increased by approx. 50%
・Sessions: up approx. 85%
Page views: 160% increase
has improved significantly.

We overhauled the website to meticulously convey the depth of our facilities, our support system, and the value of time spent at the hotel—things that cannot be fully communicated through OTAs. In addition, we added support for English and Vietnamese displays, expanding the design to reach international users.
Furthermore, we disseminate information to heighten anticipation before the stay, such as creating free accommodation vouchers limited to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and producing an original hotel area map.

It is believed that these efforts expanded the number of views and reservation opportunities, which in turn led to an increase in the number of reservations.
